The Headwaters of Community: Baptism as Sacred Encounter
This Fall at Salt & Light, we will dig into our core sacred practices as community: Baptism and Communion.
Together, we will ask: What does our practice and interpretation of these sacramental rituals say about who we are, what we value, and how we practice community?
We will begin with baptism, taking a deep dive via small groups during the week and on Sunday services, using biblical and supplemental texts to guide our exploration.
The small groups on baptism will take place for five weeks, September 2-October 6. Reading supplemental materials, which are estimated to take about 30-60 minutes/week, is encouraged but optional.
