Hello Friends,
This is a friendly message inviting you to gatherings for Feel and Be Real in Community! We meet in the sanctuary to walk the labyrinth, light candles and write/draw, concluding with the truth mandala practice developed by Joanna Macy.
We meet third Fridays
7-9pm
Leaven Community Center
5431 NE 20th Ave, Portland, OR 97211
What is the Truth Mandala Practice?
The Truth Mandala is placed in the center of the labyrinth. It is divided into four quadrants. each containing an object: fear (stone), grief (dry leaves), anger (stick), emptiness/loss (empty bowl).
People voluntarily come forward to hold an element of the mandala that reflects their feelings, and share as they feel led.
We are also reminded that in hearing fear, we also hear the trust and courage it takes to speak it. Grief expressed over the dead leaves is in equal measure love. And when we hear anger, we hear passion for justice. And we see how the empty bowl makes space for the new.
All is held in confidence. The space for the beloved community will be held on the third Friday of each month.
All Are Welcome!
