"Can I Get a Witness?!" One way of thinking about our mindfulness practice is the idea of trying to be a neutral witness to our experience, simply noticing and naming what arises without too much in the way of judgment (and being gentle with ourselves when our inevitable judgyness comes up as part of that of course.) This week we'll read a short article that explores a similar concept of seeing if we can place ourselves more in the witness seat rather than the jury box when we observe other people and events in the world. Is it possible and desirable, even with the really hard stuff?
